Throughout the year, volunteers from the Slack Reservoir Association take water samples from various points in the lake, and bring them to the University of Rhode Island for testing.  This ensures that the water we all enjoy is as clean as possible.  We also treat for weeds, and limit outside boat traffic, to keep invasive and sometimes aggressive aquatic vegetation to a minimum.  If you would like to learn more about The University of Rhode Island's  Watershed Watch Water Quality Program, please click the link below.  And if you would like to be a part of keeping our reservoir pure and clean, give us a call at (401) 542-4SRA.  WE ALWAYS NEED VOLUNTEERS!!
